Lonnie Spain, 85, transitioned to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late William and Rosalie Spain. From that union came two sons, Lonnie & William, who preceded him in death. From Lonnie's previous marriage were three daughter, Lorene Espeland (Olav) of Norway, Lynnell Spain of Newark, Delaware and Lili (Spain) Daniely, (Rev. Dr. James Daniely) of Alexandria, Va. Lonnie attended John Bartram High School and served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1954. After a long courtship, Lonnie married Constance (Williams) Spain in 1989. While living in Sicklerville, NJ. they became faithful member of St. Matthew's Baptist Church until their 2003 relocation to Summerfield, Fl. where they became permanent members of New Covenant MBC of Ocala. Lonnie left a living, loving legacy for his two Grandchildren, (Lelanie Spain, Kristen Evans (Lashaun), four Greatgrands, JerMonte, Iriana, Joredan, Tenye. Memorial Services will be held at New Covenant MBC, 606 Southwest Broadway St., Ocala Fl. 34475 on Friday. October 13, 2017 at 11:00 am.
