DEMPSEY, LILLIAN L.
Ocala - Lillian L. Dempsey was
born on December 29, 1940
in Otter Creek, FL. She passed
away at Estelle's House on
Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
She leaves to cherish her
memories; her parents, Merrill
and Edith McNeal of Otter
Creek, FL; one daughter
Deidra Dempsey; two sons
Brian (Angela) Dempsey and
Derrick Dempsey, all of Ocala,
FL; four brothers; Robert
(Frieda) Tanner, Tallahassee,
FL, Merrill (Betty) McNeal Jr.,
Gainesville, FL, Frederick (Cynthia)
McNeal, Orlando, FL, and
Ronald (Lola) McNeal, High
Springs, FL; along with a host
of grandchildren, great grandchildren,
aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and countless
sorrowing friends.
Lillian was a life-long educator
in the Marion County
School System as well as a
Cub Scout and Girl Scout
Leader. She was also a faithful
member of Zion United
Methodist Church where she
held numerous positions during
her years of worship including
working with the children’s
choir.
Funeral Services for Lillian
Dempsey will be held on Saturday,
February 8, 2014 at
1:00 pm at Zion United Methodist
Church. A wake service
will be held on Friday, February
7, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:00pm
at Cunningham Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on February
7, 2014 from 10 am to 5 pm
at Cunningham Funeral Home.
Interment: Lincoln Memorial
Gardens. Family and friends
are asked to meet at the residence
of the Lillian L.
Dempsey (2111 NW 3rd Street
Ocala, FL 34475) at 12:15 pm
on Saturday to form the Funeral
Cortege.
